Corrections Policy

An accurate guide is more useful than one that never admits a mistake. Product variants, retailer listings, manufacturer instructions and official safety information can change. We welcome specific reports that help keep SnorkelStory dependable.

What to send us

Use our contact page and include the article URL, the exact statement or product listing in question, the correction you suggest, and a reliable source if you have one. For a broken product link, tell us where it leads and which model the article names. Please do not send sensitive medical or payment information.

How we assess a report

We compare a disputed claim with the most relevant source. For model specifications, that may be current manufacturer documentation. For a recall or official warning, it should be the issuing authority. A retailer listing or owner review can alert us to a possible problem but may not settle it. We also check whether a report concerns a different model, size or production version.

If a credible safety concern is raised, we prioritize checking it. We may qualify or remove a recommendation while the evidence is assessed. We do not imply that every reader report has already been reviewed or promise a fixed response time.

How a correction appears

We correct factual errors in the article itself. For a material change affecting a buying recommendation, important safety context or the meaning of a guide, we add a concise update note explaining what changed. Small spelling, formatting or broken-link fixes generally do not need a public notice. We avoid changing a displayed review date merely to make an old page appear new.

If an outside source is revised or withdrawn, we reconsider the affected passage and attribution. An affiliate link never prevents a correction or the removal of a product from a guide.
